Staying healthy is important to me. Here are a few of my health secrets/daily workouts:

Eating right doesn't have to be hard. Portioning your food is the key. If you order pasta at a restaurant, take half of it home. This way, you get two healthier meals for the price of one. Also, cut back on the soft drinks and number of times you order dessert.

It is scientifically proven that people burn more calories simply by washing the dishes after supper. Staying on your feet convinces your body that you are not done with the day and that you need more energy. If washing dishes burns calories, imagine how many calories you could burn by walking after supper.

Drink 3 glasses of skim milk a day along with 8 glasses of water. The skim milk attaches to the excess fat in your body while the water helps to flush it out.

While it is important to burn fat, it is also important to build muscle. I do these 3 exercises to build muscle and get my body in shape.

1. The bear crawl
Walk on all fours while keeping your arms and legs as straight as possible.

2. The snake crawl
Get into a pushup position. Using only your arm muscles, drag yourself across the floor. But KEEP YOUR KNEES OFF OF THE GROUND!!!

3. 8-step body builders
Step 1. Stand with feet shoulder width apart.
Step 2. Jump down into a pushup position.
Step 3. Pull feet apart.
Step 4. Push feet back together.
Step 5. Go down into a pushup.
Step 6. Come up out of the pushup.
Step 7. Jump into a squat position.
Step 8. Jump up to complete the first rep.
Do 3 sets of 10 reps.
